Brad Shearer is a Board Approved Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University, Maryland and a Bachelor of Corporate Communication & Rhetorical Studies degree from Duquesne University, Pennsylvania. He has experience working with clients in a variety of settings including having spent over two years working in a psychiatric unit of a maximum-security prison.

Brad has experience working with a full range of client demographics including children, adolescents, and adults; providing services through individual, group, and family sessions. Brad currently works with clients who experience challenges within a variety of mental health areas including Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar, Depressive Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Grief. Additionally, Brad has spent a decade working within the veterinary field and has experience with assisting clients managing the grief that often comes with losing a family pet.

Brad engages in an integrative approach when assisting clients in therapy and works to strengthen the pre-existing strengths and talents clients already have. Brad is also a Certified Therapeutic Game Master in which he utilizes several therapy models to reinforce client’s strengths, help them nurture a growth
mindset through creativity and personal development, and gain psychological flexibility through overcoming personal challenges.

Brad promotes a balanced practice of mental health through physical engagement, mindfulness and self care, while nurturing a meaningful and purpose driven life.
