Kristina Johnson, LMSW, is licensed in Maryland and Virginia and currently provides care to clients in Maryland under the supervision of Penny Zimmerman, LCSW-C. Kristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from North Park University in Illinois and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in New York. Kristina is certified in trauma informed clinical practice through NYU. As a military veteran, Kristina brings a personal understanding and deep empathy to her work, especially with survivors of sexual assault and individuals living with military sexual trauma (MST). She has extensive experience supporting both veterans and civilians coping with PTSD, trauma anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and family internal issues. Kristina has worked with children, youth, and families, always centering her approach on the unique needs and goals of each person she serves. In addition, Kristina is committed to advocating for individuals affected by maternal health inequities, providing support to those navigating the challenges of unequal access to quality care. Her practice is rooted in compassion, respect, and a commitment to helping clients find healing and resilience.
