PsychCare Psychological Services LLC has immediate positions available for clinicians currently licensed as Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) / Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors and are earning hours of supervision towards their independent Maryland state licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) / Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Preferred candidates have an interest in working in a private practice setting.
LMSWs / LGPCs receive supervision from some of the top Licensed Mental Health Professionals in the country.
Clinical responsibilities include providing individual psychotherapy & participating in weekly supervision / case consultation

PsychCare provides opportunities to work with a highly diverse group of individuals of varying age, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. Clinicians provides treatment for a wide range of presenting problems and diagnoses. Additionally, the clinician will be working among a wide variety of other licensed psychologists with diverse backgrounds and training, ranging from those trained in ACT, CBT to psychodynamic psychotherapy. The wide range of clinical experiences at PsychCare helps build a strong clinical foundation that will serve emerging clinicians in a wide variety of professional settings in the future. It also exposes the Registered Psychology Associate / LMSW / LGPC to the ins and outs of private practice.
PsychCare offers the opportunity to provide both short-term and long-term psychotherapy; in certain instances, supervision of group and/or couples therapy may be available. Most often individuals and couples are seen at a frequency of once a week. Clinicians may be trained in ACT, mindfulness, CBT, trauma-focused, emotionally-focused, or psychodynamic approaches, dependent on supervisor availability.
Students receive 1-2 hours of clinical supervision per week by a licensed clinician (e.g. LMSWs would be supervised by a Board Approved LCSW-C.) Some of the theoretical orientations emphasized in clinical supervision include interpersonal/experiential process, ACT, CBT, and psychodynamic theories, dependent on the supervisor.
