Génesis Genao

Génesis Genao, M.A., (she/her) is a Registered Psychology Associate under the supervision of Dr. Ariel Nickie Davies and a Counseling Psychology doctoral student at the University of Maryland. She is committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care that recognizes the unique experiences, strengths, and goals of each individual.

Génesis takes an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet the specific needs of every client. While her therapeutic style is grounded in humanistic and interpersonal principles, she draws from a range of therapeutic modalities to best support each person’s growth and well-being.

Génesis has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, interpersonal and relationship concerns, adjustment and life transitions, and race- and ethnicity-related concerns. She is dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
