Dr. Urvi Paralkar

Dr. Urvi Paralkar is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland, who provides individual and group therapy. She earned her doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in counseling psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Maryland’s counseling center. Dr. Paralkar has experience working with adults, presenting with a wide range of personal and vocational concerns. Her interventions are evidence-based and culturally responsive. She uses an integrative therapy approach, borrowing from interpersonal, psychodynamic, dialectical-behavioral, and multicultural/feminist approaches. She is committed to developing a collaborative therapeutic relationship, empowering clients in identifying patterns that keep them stuck, and supporting them in leading meaningful lives.
