Dr. Lateffa Robinson is a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland. Dr. Robinson earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD) from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She completed her internship at The University of Southern California University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (USC UCEDD) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Prior to earning her PhD, Dr. Robinson earned a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), with a Clinical focus, also from Howard University. Before entering into private practice, Dr. Robinson has gaining over 15 years of experience as a mental health professional, providing a range of services to individuals and families in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, public schools, and outpatient hospitals; as well as providing Mental Health Consultation to other professionals providing mental health and special education services. She has served as Adjunct Professor at Howard University and continues to work as Clinical Assessment Consultant/Trainer with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She has extensive training in psychodiagnostic services, individual and family therapy, cultural competence, and mental health advocacy. Her psychotherapy practice orientation is holistic and eclectic, with an emphasis on using cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused strategies to foster positive change in the lives of individuals and families.
