Dr. Dani Rooney

Dr. Dani Rooney is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland, currently providing individual therapy to adults. She views therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist, focused by the client’s goals, values, and treatment needs. Dr. Rooney provides strength-based, client-centered care that frequently integrates elements of ACT, humanistic, and interpersonal therapies. She strives to understand how each individual’s identities and personal background impact symptoms and the therapeutic process.
Dr. Rooney earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Loyola University Maryland. She completed her internship at Pennsylvania Counseling Services, a community mental health agency, and her post-doctoral training at The Trauma Disorders Program at Sheppard Pratt.
