Dr. Ariel Nickie Davies is a clinical psychologist, licensed in Maryland. She earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Northern Virginia. She attended internship at Philhaven Hospital where she received training in various settings and levels of care. She completed her post-doctoral training at Wellspan Behavioral Health, receiving specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She previously worked in a community health setting and supervised pre- and post-doctoral psychology interns. She is a certified cognitive behavior therapist with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and The Academy of Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies.
Dr. Nickie Davies believes in taking a holistic approach to one’s health and incorporates mindfulness as a tool in this process. She provides an accepting environment for minorities of different groups, which includes addressing matters related to one’s diversity. Similarly, her passion is working with men and women of the African diaspora to create greater wellbeing in her community. She has a wide rage of experience treating anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, depression, and life-transitions/adjustment problems. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Nickie Davies works training clinicians in CBT.
