Ashley Shelton, M.S., M.A. is a registered psych associate practicing under the supervision of James Rutledge, Psy.D. She earned her master’s degrees
in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and in clinical psychology from Stevenson University, where she is currently working towards her doctorate degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D). Ashley has previously worked in a variety of settings, including Kennedy Krieger Institute, Mosaic Community Services, and Brighter Stronger Foundation, with a diverse age range of clients including children, adolescents, college students, and adults. She has experience conducting individual therapy and psychological assessments. Her clinical interests include working with teens and young adults navigating identity exploration, trauma, interpersonal relationships, social pressures, life transitions, and stress. Ashley values creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive space while using a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy filled with acceptance, empathy, and cultural humility. She is committed to providing a personalized and holistic approach to care that enhances each client’s well-being and fosters positive change.
