Dr. Elizabeth Disney (she/her) is a licensed psychologist in Maryland with more than twenty years of experience providing therapy to adults. Dr. Disney’s specialties include anxiety, depression, recovery from alcohol and substance use, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues. Dr. Disney also takes pride in being an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.

Dr. Disney earned her doctorate (Ph.D.) at the University of Minnesota before returning to her Maryland home. She has been part-time adjunct faculty at the
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine since 2011, which has added to her expertise in working with clients who are also themselves healthcare professionals.

Dr. Disney enjoys providing therapy services that help everyone feel supported, empowered, and respected. She believes that this world is a complicated and often difficult place, where many people experience discouragement, oppression and trauma, but one in which therapy can play a positive role in strengthening individuals to build better lives. She uses a variety of approaches to therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), such as ACT and mindfulness, as well as EMDR and psychodynamic/interpersonal approaches. Most importantly, she believes therapy provides an opportunity to move towards your best life.

Dr. Victoria Lee is a licensed psychologist in Maryland, providing individual and group therapy, as well as psychological evaluations for adults and children. She earned her doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Lee completed her predoctoral internship at and works at the Howard University Counseling Services as staff psychologist providing individual therapy, group therapy and clinical supervision. Prior to working as a staff psychologist, Dr. Lee has served as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Howard University. Dr. Lee has attained extensive post-doctoral training in group therapy and is a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP). She currently serves as a faculty in the National Group Psychotherapy Institute at Washington School of Psychiatry and has served on the board of Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society. In therapy, Dr. Lee focuses on alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life by addressing distressful interpersonal dynamics. She aims to provide a nonjudgmental, collaborative, and supportive space for individuals and groups to explore their intrapersonal and interpersonal experiences to establish deeper connections with others and meaningful relationships. Dr. Lee has a interest in stress and adjustment linked to immigration and intergenerational conflict. She enjoys working with diverse populations and has extensive training in cultural competence.

Preetal Karecha, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Approved Supervisor in the state of Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communication from the University at Buffalo and completed a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. Prior to working in private practice, Ms. Karecha was the Program Supervisor of a substance abuse treatment program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. During her time at Johns Hopkins she worked with various diagnoses including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. She is eclectic in her treatment approach drawing from various modalities to tailor therapy to fit each person individually. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process and creates an environment that is safe, open, and comfortable.

Jessica Diez, LCPC  is licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Towson University. She went on to receive a Masters in Applied Psychology- Counseling from University of Baltimore. Ms. Diez works with individuals specializing in young adults. Ms. Diez draws from person-centered and existential theories as well as cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic theories. She has experience with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, adjustment/phase of life and transition issues. Ms. Diez wants to help clients feel a greater sense of purpose, fulfill their dreams, and improve their quality of life.
