Saskia Inwood, LCSW-C is licensed in Maryland as a clinical social worker. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at Towson University and then earned her master’s in social work from the University of Maryland. Saskia worked for almost 17 years with Child Welfare Services in Montgomery County, working with children of all ages and their families. The last five years with the government were spent with working with Transitioning Age Youth (ages 14-21). Saskia led a Transitioning Youth Learning Collaborative with many agencies and foster parents working with these youth During that time, she took and also led trainings regarding trauma and it’s effects on the brain and behavior. Since moving into clinical work, Saskia has completed extensive training in Child Centered Play Therapy and has utilized her learning in sessions with children through age 8 and sometimes beyond. Saskia utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach and trauma informed care with adolescents and adults. She has also worked with couples and families. Saskia has experience working with individuals with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, ADHD, and the LGBTQIA population.
